Studies on the Classical Period of Islam are an integral part almost of all the research projects and programs, relating to the culture and history of the Islamic World. Thus, the Mardjani Foundation runs the program “Heritage of Classical Islam”. 

It includes theoretical investigation projects on social history and history of religious thought in the period of Classic Islam, commented translation and publication of significant historical sources and monuments of the medieval Islamic thought, reissue and reprint of European and Asian publications on Islamic Studies.  

He one should also mention a long-term project on creation of an electronic sources database on the Medieval Islam, including Arabic, Persian, Old Turkish sources.

All the results are published by the Mardjani Publishing House in “Bibliotheca Islamica” series.
